Founded in 1980, we are a ski club in the Middle Atlantic (Philadelphia area) that is 100% dedicated to cross country skiing. Because we are run by volunteers, we can offer our members trips that have excellent skiing as well as exceptional value. We hope you can join us.

Stowe, Vermont

Stowe is a quaint New England ski town with some of the most scenic and well groomed ski trails in the Northeast. Trip features skiing at the world-famous Trapp Family Lodge and scenic
Mt. Mansfield Touring Center. Both ski areas offer trails that are suited for beginning to advanced skiers, and the trails are maintained using state-of-the-art grooming equipment.
Professional ski lessons for all levels are available. If conditions permit, a vast array of backcountry trails will be open. Downhill ski resorts are also nearby and accessible by taking the Stowe trolley. If you want to try other winter sports, check the snowshoeing, snowmobiling and ice skating areas, all of which are accessible by the trolley. The trolley, which is free, stops at our hotel front door, downtown Stowe and the ski areas.
We stay at the Commodores Inn, which is within walking distance of Stowe Village. Its amenities include Jacuzzis, saunas, an indoor swimming pool and exercise rooms. It has a great dining room and lounge area with a fireplace that makes a perfect setting for after ski get-togethers. Check their site at: www.commodoresinn.com
Next door to Commodores is the Umiak Ski Shop. They rent ski equipment and offer snowshoe guided tours which include a moonlit walk with wine & cheese at a rustic barn among others.
Trip includes: roundtrip motor coach transportation to Stowe and back, transportation to and from the cross-country ski areas, 3 nights lodging, welcome cookies & cider upon arrival, 3 breakfasts, Sat & Sun dinner, wine & cheese reception on Saturday evening and a box lunch on Monday for return trip. Also includes tax and gratuities.
The bus will depart Friday, 2/20/09 at 2:00 PM from a location near the Cherry Hill Mall, Cherry Hill, NJ. Cherry Hill, NJ. Arrival time at Stowe is about 9:30 pm including a rest break. Departure from Stowe on Monday at 1:30 pm with approximate arrival at 9:00 pm including a rest break.
